This was a life saving passage of Scripture for me. During a time of deep depression in my younger years, God rescued me from myself through these paralleled truths. Human counsel, earthly wisdom, hallucinogenic medications failed me, though the goals were sincere. Sincerely wrong and leading away from God.

My husband Marlon challenged me to truly BELIEVE (through obedience) that only God could do for the soul what others failed in their trying to do. Over the years I have taken my freedom and worked with God to set others free.

This passage was the first step in my freedom; not from the feelings but from their control. As the years have moved on I’ve learned that feelings don’t think. They latch onto my thinking. Then wouldn’t I be remiss to forgo thinking on God and his Word? Meditation, memorization and mining His word are keys to thinking godly. Giving my emotions healthy thinking to hold to helps me take control of fear, worry or depression when they knock on the door of my mind or heart.

This passages offers the freedom that happens deep within us as we know and think or meditate on His Word. Converting the soul isn’t something any of us need to go without. Whether you will experience it as I have will be the result of how you choose to Trust what is declared about The Scripture. Will you live these realities that are actualizes by His Word or continue to look to the wisdom that is of this world? You get a real choice. Don’t blame God if you adopt the mind of misery when he is offering to convert your soul, make you wise, enlighten your eye, warn you and give you great reward.
