Jesus don’t you care?

“Teacher, don’t you care that we are going to drown.” Mark 4: 38 Wow!

That can be the question posed in our heart when we doubt God’s power and compassion through our storms. He was aware of the storm because he was right there in the boat with the disciples. They asked if he cared. Ouch!

It’s like asking,” Wake up and act NOW, or maybe you can’t!” And they’d seen his miracles. We’ve, also, seen his deliverance. We still ask, “What are you waiting for Jesus? Don’t you care that I have cancer, hurting from loss, have rebellious kids, in a broken marriage, don’t you care?” 😢. Is this Coronavirus too big for you?

When He quiets your storm however he chooses don’t let that deliverance come with the words, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still not have faith in me?”

Trust can be difficult in the middle of madness, but we get to choose. Let’s not be those who see Jesus calm our storms and then turns and rebukes us. We must be those who will stand, fighting the good fight of faith no matter the storm.

If you’re going to face a trial and we each will, and some of us multiple at one time, face it with the courage of God’s Spirit and Power. Instead of being like the disciples wondering if Jesus cares, be more like Jesus. Rest, knowing in Whom you trust.

Trust not for what you want but trust He’s God and knows how and when to do the thing that works for His Glory and your good!
