New Year or Being Made New

My goal is never to smash dreams and mash hopes, however, what makes a new day with a different year ending a magic pill for greatness?

The celebration of The New Year can appear to be this bright shiny present handed to each of us for new beginnings. My friends, every minute of our lives offers that. In the middle of an evening in my husbands life, he recognized his sinfulness, and became new, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. One afternoon after coming into contact with the true Gospel of the Kingdom, I recognized my religion was not the change, but the trudging through life that made me miserable. I came to understand, as God opened my eyes to what I was trying, verses, what His Son had DONE. I became new!

I’m not normally a glass half empty person. Today I’m just facing facts. We woke up to the same division, government tyranny, hate for one’s neighbors, racial manipulation, and the rest. That’s still existing in 2021, it did not go away. It remains afresh and when the shiny becomes dull; the hype, deflated, the lack of change we hoped for those things remain.

There is a NEED FOR YOU TO BE CHANGED by something more powerful than a New Year. It’s the Change ONLY offered by He, who HOLDS the Year.

Depression can come in like a flood as the effects of all the celebration goes away; school, work and mask begin anew. Anger flows over as we realize the government still has its hand in our lives and encroachment more and more.

These feelings, as we face reality aren’t foreign, BUT THERE IS A HOPE IN TRULY understanding the KINGDOM MESSAGE of Christ Jesus that rises us above who is President, who takes the Senate, what your boss requires of you that’s antithetical to what you stand for. This, The Only True God gives us his instructions before leaving this land, in His Word. He gives us the Power of himself through His Spirit.

Don’t let your hope become deferred when all goes back to the old. Please, I beg; Cry out, Kneel, surrender to the new, that’s in Jesus. Maybe many of you who think you are a Christian are being called to true denying of yourselves and surrendering to the Lord. “Come,” he says, “Let’s reason together...”. Isaiah 1

He waits to give us the Acts Church type of power that changes us and makes us new, not just The Year!
