Pray for Our Leaders

It’s easy to say, “pray for your Leaders,” but challenging to do when we are led by emotions. But God demands it!

We have ALL picked sides, many of the ALL, are sitting in church on Sundays. But if we truly are the Lord’s we MUST wish and pray for God’s salvation for others. When we choose who is worthy we make ourselves “god.”

I believe God commands we pray for our Leaders or our enemies, not equating them but sometimes it feels that way; But I believe God commands that to humble us. Otherwise it would be easy for us to walk in a salvation we think we deserve and “they” do not.

That is Pride! God opposes the “PROUD”. He will give GRACE, as we humble ourselves and pick up his commands to obey. If the former is you or me, we are no different than those we see as evil and are emotionally charged by. Their actions may show their pride, but our attitude and disobedience displays ours before God. That must not be🙁

If you claim Christ as Lord, expressing Truth about Facts is one thing. But not praying for the repentance and salvation of those we struggle with, struggle deeply, only hardens you and me. We become the thing we hate, but may never see it in ourselves.

This doesn’t mean agreement. It just means obedience. The two can work together well. Though when emotions rule, the latter becomes lost in the fray.
